第一號弦樂四重奏《終點，亦是起點》I 武修平 X 半線室內樂 武修平 - 作曲 陳沛梧, 蔡穹翰 - 小提琴 蔡伯寅 - 中提琴 劉一澄 - 大提琴 《重。時》武修平 X 半線室內樂 作曲家肖像音樂會 臺中國家歌劇院小劇場, 2026年7月16日 影像設計 I 游婕 影音製作 I 河鼓工作室, 吳東晏, 楊于宣 燈光設計 I 想響音樂工作室, 黃致誠 《終點，亦是起點》是我創作的第一首弦樂四重奏。最一開始的想法，其實是想寫一首偏向新浪漫風格的作品，受到浪漫時期小提琴作品的影響很深，同時也混合了我當時對極簡主義與即興語法的興趣。 但在寫的過程中，作品慢慢偏離原本的方向，變成一種比較混合的聲音語言。整體結構建立在對中世紀聖詠《震怒之日》（Dies Irae）的變形與發展之上，讓這個極具象徵性的旋律，在不同段落中以各種方式出現、轉化——有時很直接，有時幾乎被藏起來。對我來說，這首作品比較像是一個起點——很多後來一直在做的事情，其實在這裡都已經出現了：風格的交錯、材料的轉化，還有在傳統語彙裡面慢慢長出自己的聲音。標題《終點，亦是起點》某種程度上也是在講這件事：一個結束，同時也是另一個開始。 String Quartet No. 1 “The End of the Beginning” I Hsiu-Ping Patrick Wu X Changhua Chamber Music Society Hsiu-Ping Patrick Wu, composer Pei-Wu Chen, Chung-Han Tsai, violins Po-Yin Tsai, viola I-Cheng Liu, cello https://ccms.page/ and time future contained in time past - Hsiu-Ping Patrick Wu X CCMS Composer Portrait Recital Recorded on July 16, 2026 at National Taichung Theater, Taiwan “The End of the Beginning” was Wu’s first string quartet. This piece was heavily influenced by the style of Romantic violin literature, as well as minimalism and improvisational works. The original idea was to create a neo-Romantic style string quartet; however, throughout the composition process, the piece evolved into a modern crossover with variations based on the Latin hymn, Dies Irae. Taiwanese-Canadian violinist-composer Hsiu-Ping Patrick Wu is constantly on the search for musical language on different sides of the spectrum. Like his multifaceted identity, Wu’s music ranges from the style of neo-romanticism to avant-garde soundscapes, fusing theatrical elements and improvisational techniques. https://www.patrickwumusic.com/
