Am I too old to start again? Is it too late to change careers, go back to university, or pursue a dream you've put off for years? I started medical school at 33, as a mum, and now at 38, I'm still working towards becoming a doctor. 🩺 If you'd asked me years ago where I thought I'd be at this age, I certainly wouldn't have said I'd still be at university! In this first episode of Starting Later, we're having an honest conversation about starting over in your 30s, 40s, 50s and beyond. We talk about the fear of being too old, comparing ourselves to others, the financial and personal sacrifices of starting again, and the questions we should ask ourselves before making a big life decision. Because while I believe it's never too late to pursue something meaningful, I also believe our dreams deserve more than motivation. They deserve careful thought, realistic planning and courage. One thing I've learnt is that time will pass whether we pursue our dreams or not. The question is, what do we want to do with that time?
