Before the flood arrived, I set my fishing nets in the stream using a traditional fishing method that has been passed down through generations in the countryside. That night, heavy rain caused the water to rise rapidly, so all I could do was wait until the next morning, when the water had finally receded, to return and check the nets. As I pulled them in, I was amazed by the incredible catch. The flood had brought far more fish than I ever expected. There were enough to prepare several delicious family meals, and I even took some to the local market to sell, helping earn extra income to support our daily life. Afterward, I continued caring for Trúc Lam, feeding the goats, and completing the everyday tasks around the farm.
