My Nice Ironman 70.3 World Champs countdown begins

Since putting the Kona dream on hold, all my focus has gone into Nice. After the altitude camp in Andorra, my body is responding well. This session was actually my first hard running intensity since the injury, and it felt like a real step forward. Bike and swim have kept improving through this block, maybe even stronger than where I was last year. The run is catching up too, and for the first time in a while I can say I'm confident in the shape I'm building. Before Nice, I'll race 70.3 Zell am See, my first race in 5 months, as a final big test, then head straight to Nice to know every corner and descent of that course. Right after the 70.3 World Championships, I'll close out the block with T100 French Riviera, capping off three races in four weeks. It's been a long road back since the injury, but I finally feel like I'm arriving at the start line the way I wanted to.
