Caught up with Cabrinha at AWSI in Hood River for a first look at the 2027 Mantis and Vision. The 2027 Mantis is still the all-around benchmark, just refined. New aerodynamic profiles, tighter canopy tension, and an updated radial panel layout for cleaner power and better balance across the range. Teijin D2 canopy, Teijin 75 trailing edge, 3-stage hybrid leading edge, redesigned drop strut, rigid boom, and the new TruView infill for visibility. Freeride, waves, and big air. Flatter canopy, lower dihedral, flagged-out drift in the surf, and that Mantis upwind once you’re riding. The 2027 Vision is the other side of the lineup. Fuller profile, more grunt, easier power when the wind is light. Higher dihedral, swept tips, and that compact Vision feel.
