Filmed on August 19th, 2020. These BEAUTIFUL & VERY FAST High Rise Otis Elevators are located in Jacksonville's Tallest Building, which is also the Tallest Building in All of Florida outside of Miami, at 42 floors! The building just celebrated its 30th Anniversary of being open this year, and thankfully, the elevators in this BEAUTIFUL Skyscraper are still totally original, and in absolutely BEAUTIFUL Condition and match the building EXTREMELY Well! I absolutely LOVE the cabs with their Pyramid Ceiling, they are just ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL, some of the NICEST I've ever seen in a High Rise Office Tower, and just match the building's architecture extremely well! And the BEAUTIFUL Bronze Colored Custom Brailles these have as well as the VERY LATE Newer Lexan Call Stations in the Lobby just really top these things off!!! But, there's more to these elevators than just the aesthetics! These are also VERY FUN to ride and pretty fast like most Otis Elevonic's are, and these do occasionally power stop and make my ears pop, and once you make it to the top, these have a VERY LOUD, EPIC and AUDIBLE Hum from the Motors & Generators! Contrary to what has been said in the past, I actually found out back in December that the Elevonic 401 system was discontinued in 1991 in the U.S. and Canada, and since these were installed in 1990, and judging by the Generator Hum these have, which was very similar to the original elevators at the Marriott Marquis in Atlanta, as well as the way the controllers act, I'm pretty sure these are indeed 401s, however they could be either 401 or 411 as 411 came out the year prior to this place opening, and both 401 and 411 coexisted with each other from 1989-1991. Whatever they are, they are a EXTREMELY NICE, BEAUTIFUL, FAST & FUN Elevator System in a BEAUTIFUL Skyscraper, and I really hope these don't get modernized anytime soon as they are in EXCELLENT Condition, and these are DEFINITELY a MUST RIDE if you find yourself in Downtown Jacksonville!!! Just film these at your own risk, upon exiting the elevator lobby, I was politely told by a security guard that filming was not allowed in the building, and that due to the fact this is a private building, I couldn't be riding up and down. But, at least the guard was nice, and I got all of the footage I wanted anyways, so I'm not complaining. I do wonder why the "G" button randomly lit and activated at the end though, that was very weird.... With that all being said, enjoy some rides on what are some of the NICEST Elevators in a Skyscraper I've ever seen, which also happen to be of one of my favorite elevator models ever!!! Installed in 1990.
