I have returned to its pages countless times over the decades. Its extraordinary descriptions of the sea—the wind, the waves, the salt spray, and the fleeting warmth of sunlight—have never ceased to move me. Having sailed on Lake Biwa myself, I know something of that freedom: reading the wind, trimming the sails, and choosing one's own course. Inspired by a lifelong love of literature and my own memories under sail, I created an original song, *Stars and the Helm*. With sweeping orchestral melodies and a mature, heartfelt voice, it celebrates solitude, courage, freedom, and the enduring romance of adventure. *I know the harbor where I belong.
