GR11 stages 12 and 13 across the Spanish Pyrenees, from Candanchú to beyond Respomuso. It's the first time I'm really solo, and there are raspberries and blueberries everywhere! Slow letters from the road, stories from the trail in your inbox: https://livewild.kit.com Planning your first multi-day hike? I wrote a field guide for exactly that, Your First Hike. Pre-order it here: https://yourfirsthike.com Wingo stayed behind with my parents for some extra rest and campsite pampering. The terrain ahead was tougher, and it's just safer that way. So I was curious: what would my real hiking rhythm be without anyone else to consider? I feel very fit! Out here I've learned to think in time instead of distances. It's more about finding water, timing resupply with shop opening hours and finding a flat spot before dark. My first camp spot wasn't perfect, a bit windy, but good enough. In case you were wondering why it takes me so long to reach the next stage, there are all these candies on the trail. Here's the raspberries and here's the blueberries. It's one big feast! Foraging has become almost second nature to me over the years. I live nomadic and I love fresh produce. I mean, who doesn't? So what can you do if you don't have a garden? You forage, and of course you only take what you really need. More in my tips on foraging for food: https://www.theoceanpreneur.com/adven...
