We investigated 10 of the most recognized deli counter and refrigerated lunch meat brands using peer-reviewed cancer research, WHO/IARC findings, FDA ingredient and regulatory data, EWG Food Scores, USDA FSIS recall records, and the final CDC report on the Boar’s Head Listeria outbreak. The Boar’s Head outbreak led to 61 illnesses across 19 states, 60 hospitalizations, 10 deaths, and a recall of more than 7 million pounds of ready-to-eat meat.
