Crystal Lake (2026 Peacock Original) Season 1 REVIEW! | A FRANCHISE REBORN??

What's going on everyone, it's GZ TV back on the channel to officially kick off our Friday the 13th review marathon, and we're starting at the very beginning of the story with season 1 of Crystal Lake! Produced by A24 and released on Peacock, this eight-episode prequel explores the origins of Camp Crystal Lake, the tragic history of Jason Voorhees, and the story of his mother, Pamela Voorhees, portrayed by Linda Cardellini. Before the hockey mask, before the machete, and before Jason became one of horror's most recognizable killers, there was a much darker story waiting to be told. But does Crystal Lake successfully expand the mythology of this legendary slasher franchise? Does Linda Cardellini deliver as Pamela Voorhees? And can a modern television prequel capture the atmosphere, brutality, and suspense that made Friday the 13th so iconic? In my latest review, we're breaking down the performances, kills, atmosphere, story, pacing, and everything this new series has to offer. Tune into my latest video to get my thoughts! #crystallake #fridaythe13th #jasonvoorhees #pamelavoorhees #a24 #peacock #horror #tvreview
