Your Life as Every Rank in a Plague City

The plague comes to Venice in a very nice coat. Three days later, a whole street is coughing, the church bells never stop, and you're sixteen with nobody left to knock on the door for. This is your life as every rank in a plague city: gondolier's son, corpse carrier, house guard, island worker, plague doctor, prior of the plague island, health inspector, advisor to the Doge and, finally, patient. You'll row the boats of the dead, guard sealed houses, wear the famous beaked mask, catch a rich smuggler, and help decide whether to close the whole city. 📜 Based on real history: the Great Plague of Venice, the pizzigamorti who carried the dead, the Lazaretto (the world's first plague hospital), the forty days that gave us the word quarantine, plague doctors' beaked masks filled with herbs, health passes for ships, and the Doge's vow that built the church of Santa Maria della Salute. Nico, Beppe, Doctor Ferro and Elena are fictional. Which rank would you have survived? 👇 #plague #plaguedoctor #history #venice #animation
