US Aircraft Carrier Arrives in Phuket With 4,800 Personnel After Iran Conflict | Dawn News English

The US aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush arrived off Phuket, Thailand, on Sunday with about 4,800 personnel aboard for a rest-and-recreation visit after months supporting US operations in the Middle East. The Nimitz-class carrier anchored near Phuket Deep Sea Port. The carrier is expected to remain off Phuket from October 4 to 9, with crew members coming ashore during the visit. The port call follows the USS Abraham Lincoln’s visit to Thailand last month, which was reported to have brought significant spending to the local economy. #ussgeorgehw bush #usnavy #aircraftcarrier #phuket #thailand #usmilitary #nimitzclass #iranconflicit --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dawn News English is your window into the latest news, insight, and features from South Asia and beyond.
