#masonbaycampgrounds #caravanningaustralia #greynomads #doingthelap Filmed 2-2-2026 Our next Aussie Nomad destination took us to Mason Bay Campground, about 38km east of Hopetoun on Western Australia’s beautiful south coast. This little beachfront campground was the perfect place to pull up the caravan for four days and enjoy a slower pace. With the beach right on our doorstep, we spent plenty of time fishing, walking along the coastline and just enjoying the peace and quiet. We also took the 4WD down onto the beach for a drive, exploring more of the coastline and finding a few good spots to throw a line in. While staying at Mason Bay, we headed into Hopetoun for a look around and to explore some of the surrounding beaches. Hopetoun is a small coastal town surrounded by some incredible stretches of white sand and clear Southern Ocean water, and it was a great base for stocking up and having a wander before heading back to camp. Mason Bay was definitely one of those simple camping spots we love – beachfront, plenty of space to unwind and four days filled with fishing, beach driving and enjoying another beautiful part of Western Australia.
