Outback Pubs You Have to Visit | Australia’s Forgotten Goldfields Watering Holes - Part 1

Join us as we hit the road to discover some of Australia’s most historic outback bush pubs — plus one legendary roadhouse — in a celebration of classic watering holes, colourful characters and stories from the bush. Along the way, we’ll take you on something of a virtual tour, stepping inside these iconic establishments and uncovering a little of their history. We visit the Packsaddle Roadhouse, named after a mishap involving early explorers, before heading to Tibooburra to call into the Family Hotel and Tibooburra Hotel. Then it’s on to camping at the historic goldfields township of Milparinka and the Albert Hotel. These are some of the surviving iconic Goldfields pubs featured in Outback Pubs by Craig Lewis and Cathy Savage — places where the beer is cold, the welcome is warm, and every old wall seems to have a story to tell.
