The G.I. Journal (1944) WW2 Broadcast ft. Mel Blanc, Lucille Ball | 16mm Film Scan

Strictly G.I., the G.I. Journal. A filmed version of a WW2 radio "newspaper" show, made to entertain and keep the morale up of the U.S. soldiers fighting in WW2. Produced by the Armed Forces Radio Service (AFRS) Has some pretty big names - Kay Kyser, Lucille Ball, Mel Blanc, and more! Scanned from an original WW2 "Army Navy Screen Magazine" film reel; these reels were put together as visual entertainment to show the troops in their downtime. The film had some noticeable "redox staining" which introduced substantial flicker, was also on the dark side with quite a bit of spotting; tried to improve as I could. Soundtrack was muffled with a strong hissed, EQ'd and noise reduced to improve. Please reach out regarding commercial/professional usage of corrected scan.
