"Give Us Peace": Sept 21: Rock Isaiah 13-35 #isaiah

Prog-rock 1980s Album-Oriented Rock. #biblemusic [Verse 1] The shining one whose glory is Babylon Rules the proud and his kingdom of gold, Says, "I will ascend above the stars," But his throne is bound for the pit below. [Pre-Chorus 1] How art thou fallen, morning's own son! Cut down to the ground, cast out from the Light! The Lord will cause thy kingdom's pride to cease, And give us rest from sorrow, and give us peace. [Chorus] A marvelous work and a wonder, A voice that whispers out of the dust, The deaf will hear, the blind will see, And the meek find joy in the Lord they trust, A marvelous work and a wonder, Revealed to the humble, the lost, and the just. [Verse 2] Even the wise could not read what was sealed, But with God, what is hidden will be revealed: Line upon line, the light begins to rise, And the morning breaks across the skies. [Pre-Chorus 2] Awake, awake, O daughter of Zion! Rise from the dust, and walk in the Light! The Lord will cause thy weeping to cease, And give us songs of joy, and give us peace. [Chorus] A marvelous work and a wonder, A voice that whispers out of the dust, The deaf will hear, the blind will see, And the meek find joy in the Lord they trust, A marvelous work and a wonder, Revealed to the humble, the lost, and the just. [Bridge] He is the tried stone, the sure foundation, He opens the door that none can shut, He swallows up death and raises us from dust, He wipes away tears and quiets our fears, This is our God, and He will save us. [Final Chorus] A marvelous work and a wonder, The desert shall blossom as the rose, He binds up what is broken, And water in the wasteland flows, A marvelous work and a wonder, In quietness and confidence, our strength grows. [Outro] A marvelous work and a wonder, Here am I, send me, Here am I, send me. © 2026 Come Follow Hymn Project. All rights reserved. Inspired by Scripture. Written by Soul. Performed by AI.
