Either way, that dissatisfaction helped me have ideas for this arrangement, like a funkier percussion and more overall chill vibe, while still maintaining the stereotypical asian sound. Certain aspects were inspired by Yousuke Yasui's work on Mamorukun's Curse and Kekkaishi OSTs. Another inspiration was Breath of Fire 3! This is my first PS1 cover to actually run on real hardware. This is what's called "sequenced music", its not just playing back a pre-recorded audio file, its actually playing back each note of the song in real time using the PS1's soundchip.
