What they encountered in the snow would haunt them for years. Across an open clearing, they watched a large group of tall, thin, gray-furred creatures moving rapidly through the darkness. The figures appeared to work together, crossing back and forth before several began moving around the men’s sides as if attempting to surround them. Armed and increasingly convinced they were being hunted, the two slowly retreated to their truck and escaped, hearing a terrifying scream behind them as they sped away. Over the years, the Union Creek encounter has become associated with Dogman, Bigfoot and other unidentified humanoid creatures, but the original witness never clearly identified what he saw. Were these Dogmen moving as a pack, an unusual group of Sasquatches, misidentified wildlife, or something else entirely? In this episode, we examine the full Union Creek encounter, the history of the report, another strange sighting from the same area, possible explanations and the unsettling question that still remains more than two decades later: what was waiting in the snow that night?
