In this video, we showcase the recovery process of an ADATA solid-state drive that suffered severe damage during a heatsink upgrade. The original owner attempted to replace the factory heat shield with a better cooling solution. However, when the heatsink was removed, the aggressive double-sided adhesive tore three NAND memory chips completely off the board and partially ripped the fourth one.
Due to the extent of the damage—especially to the board's traces—repairing the original PCB would have been far too time-consuming. Instead, we sourced a compatible donor board, transferred all four NAND chips, and successfully revived the SSD. The result? 100% data recovery.
