New political forces emerge: One Gambia One Voice and People's Alliance for Change (PAC)

Mr. Halifa Jawara, the leader of One Gambia One Voice, along with Mr. Papa Jagne, a leader of the People's Alliance for Change (PAC), appeared on AG Radio on Saturday evening to discuss the objectives of their movements and the path forward leading up to the 2026 elections. Mr. Halifa Jawara serves as the leader of "One Gambia One Voice," a recently formed movement. Mr. Jawara announced that his movement has already united in support of Hon. Essa Mbye Faal, the leader of the APP-SOBEYA. He stated that no individual party possesses the authority to remove President Barrow, encouraging Gambians to come together to elect a new president in the upcoming year. Mr. Papa Jagne holds the position of Co-Chairman at the People's Alliance for Change (PAC), a movement that has been recently founded. Mr. Jagne presented the goals of the People's Alliance for Change (PAC) and explored the possibilities for partnership with other parties to establish a coalition. He emphasized that only a coalition possesses the ability to remove President Barrow from office. PAC is calling on Gambians to unite under a strong coalition to vote out the incumbent.
