🇫‌🇷‌🇮‌🇩‌🇦‌🇾‌ J U M M A H Brentford Great West Road Jummah Khutbah delivered by Br Mohammed Salih on Friday 2nd October 2026. | Reliance On Allah And Certitude | Reliance upon Allah gives the Muslim confidence that, whatever the present circumstances may appear to be, the ultimate outcome rests with the One whose wisdom, knowledge and mercy are perfect. This trust does not depend on events unfolding according to our own expectations; rather, it produces certitude that Allah knows what we do not know and chooses what is best according to His greater wisdom. As this conviction deepens, the heart becomes less troubled by uncertainty and more willing to surrender its affairs to Allah, accepting His decree with patience, hope and contentment. In this way, tawakkul is not merely expecting a favourable result, but trusting that whatever Allah judges for our lives is ultimately wise, purposeful and worthy of our submission. “And when the believers saw Al-Ahzab (the Confederates), they said: ‘This is what Allah and His Messenger had promised us and Allah and His Messenger had spoken the truth. And it only added to their faith and to their submissiveness (to Allah).’” (33:22) “Those (i.e. believers) to whom the people (the hypocrites) said: ‘Verily, the people (the pagans) have mobilized against you (a great army), therefore, fear them.’ But it (only) increased them in faith, and they said: ‘Allah (Alone) is Sufficient for us, and He is the Best Disposer of all affairs.’ So, they returned with Grace and Bounty from Allah. No harm touched them, and they followed the good Pleasure of Allah.
