The South African CHOW Ep2 | Finding The Best Fresh Fish In Pretoria (Tshwane Market to Braai Grid)📝

Welcome back to The South African Chow! In Episode 2, we are heading into the chaotic, high-energy heart of Pretoria—the legendary Tshwane Market. We bypass the massive veggie halls to find the ultimate prize: fresh ocean catch hours away from the coast. Watch a local market masterclass as our fishmonger butterflies a fresh Cape Yellowtail (Geelstert) and fillets beautiful Cape Hake in seconds! Then, we head back to the kitchen for an epic clash of cooking styles: 🔥 Armand goes full engineer, building a tin-foil pan on the braai grid to make a smoky, sweet Apricot Jam & Cream Glazed Yellowtail alongside wrapped patats. 🍳 I take over the kitchen pot to drop fresh, delicate Hake fillets into screaming hot oil for the ultimate golden-brown crunch. Does sweet apricot jam really belong on a premium gamefish? Hit that play button to find out!
