What We Paid at Mansa Devi Ropeway?

Mansa Devi and Chandi Devi in one day — and the ropeway ticket turned out to be the small part of what we actually paid. WHAT WE PAID AT MANSA DEVI (June 2026), in our own words on camera: ₹500 for VIP darshan, ₹400 for the ticket, ₹100 to the agent. Across the whole day — both ropeways, VIP darshan and the agent's commission — it came to roughly ₹1,100 per person. Here's the bit no guide mentions. The board at Mansa Devi said the normal queue was TWO HOURS. We paid for VIP darshan plus an agent and were through in 10-20 minutes. That queue-skip is the majority of what we spent — and it is completely optional. If you're happy to stand in the normal line, you keep most of that money. Also worth knowing: children under 110 cm get a HALF ropeway ticket. At Chandi Devi we bought "seven plus half" for the eight of us. One honest caveat: we went on 17 June, two days after an Adhik Maas Somvati Amavasya — a rare date that draws big crowds. The queue we saw was probably heavier than an ordinary weekday, so check the Hindu calendar before you plan. Most guides online quote 5-15 minute weekday waits. That is not what the board said when we were there. Chandi Devi is 3 km from Mansa Devi — the billboard at the Mansa Devi station tells you to do both and "complete your yatra". We did both in one afternoon, and the video ends with which one the family actually preferred. All prices are June 2026 and will drift. Treat them as the shape of the cost, not a quote.
