Kountry Katholikos, is my original independent songwriting channel for Catholic country music. Here you will find a unique, faith-based songwriting niche that merges traditional and outlaw country, bluegrass, blues, and Southern Gospel with traditional Catholic theology, hymn, and prayer. Born and raised in a faithful family with influences from the Eastern and Western Church in the prairie heartland of the pioneers and true old west, a land of big skies, open fields, pristine lakes, timber, harsh winters, hot summers, farms, ranches, and faithful, truthful and hardworking people, these are all of the things I recall and with words inspired through prayer find their way into the songs on this channel. As an independent songwriter, author, and traditional catechist I hope these lyrics will help to inspire and draw all of us closer to our Creator and each other.
