The True Size of Countries (The Map Lied to You)

How accurate is your world map? We rearrange borders to expose the true scale of countries often misjudged by standard projections. Many common maps create a false sense of scale, leading to errors in how we perceive the size of nations. By visually adjusting the position of countries like Russia, France, and Kosovo, we can see how map distortion affects our understanding of the globe. This exercise in country size comparison highlights why standard representations often fail to show the true nature of our planet. We shift geographical locations to provide a clearer perspective on how landmasses actually relate to one another on a spherical surface.
