What I’m Learning About Charging a Tesla Before Tasmania.

I made my first proper EV charging mistake today. I found a Chargefox charger at a great price, drove over to use it… and discovered one fairly important detail. I needed to bring my own cable. I don’t own one. 😂 So it was back into Bianca and off to the Tesla Supercharger instead. But honestly, this is exactly why I’m doing these little tests now. In about a month, we’re taking the Tesla to Tasmania for our first proper family road trip — a mini trial before the much bigger goal of travelling Australia. I’m learning how the different charging networks work, what we actually need to carry, how charging fits into a travel day, and what happens when the plan doesn’t quite work. I’m definitely not an EV expert. I’m figuring it out as I go — and that’s kind of the point. Tasmania is the mini trial. Australia is the bigger experiment. And today’s lesson? Buy a charging cable. 😂 At least the coffee stayed in the new cup this time.
