We made the first cut on 12 August. Véraison arrived ahead of time and the date was set by the fruit, not by the calendar. When the vineyard moves early, the only sensible answer is to move with it.
🌙 We're picking at night again, starting at 4:00 am. The fruit comes in cold, and less than thirty minutes pass between the vine and the winery. The grapes arrive whole and fresh, with no oxidation and no fermentation nobody asked for.
⛰️ This is mountain viticulture. Our vineyards sit in Les Garrigues Altes, within DO Costers del Segre, between 500 metres at L'Albagés and 700 metres at La Pobla de Cérvoles, where we farm dry-grown old vines planted in 1980. Shallow, stony limestone soils. Hot days and cold nights. The grapes ripen slowly and the wines hold their freshness naturally.
📈 With harvest well under way, the outlook is very good, in both volume and quality.
