How To Deal with Lust

In this video, Jiawen goes to great lengths in discussing why it's important to control lust and how to do it. Buddha's quotes and teachings used in the video can be found in the following sutras: 🔸 1) Sutra of Forty-two Chapters (in which the Buddha repeatedly talked about the danger of lust and the importance of controlling it) 🔸 2) The Fundamental Vows of Ksitigharbha (Earth Store) Bodhisattva (one can find references about karmic retribution and the different types of hells) 🔸 3) The Universal Gate of Bodhisattva Guanyin (Lotus Sutra, Chapter 25), in which the Buddha told us Bodhisattva Guanyin made great vows including the vow to help sentient beings to be free from sensual craving if one recites her name sincerely. 🔸 4) Ten Wholesome Ways of Actions Sutra (in which the Buddha talks about how a Bodhisattva has a method to eliminate all suffering - that is constantly day and night to contemplate the wholesome dharmas, to cause the wholesome dharmas to increase in mind so as to stop the least unwholesome thoughts to mingle in; one can also find the benefits of not commit sexual misconduct in this sutra).
