In Matthew 15, Jesus teaches that the real problem is not merely what comes out of our mouths—it is what is happening in our hearts. Pressure often exposes what comfort conceals, and even our texts, social-media posts, and private messages can reveal what is ruling within us. But the answer is not simply trying harder to control our speech. Jesus Christ came to cleanse the source. He forgives sin, changes hearts, and gives us new life.
