In Episode 8 of Retro Plays: BioShock Remastered, we're pushing deeper into Arcadia, where the beautiful greenery hiding beneath the ocean is about to become the center of Andrew Ryan's latest act of destruction. But first, we've got another Little Sister to rescue! 🔫 ROSIE BIG DADDY! We start by taking down another Rosie and freeing the Little Sister under its protection before continuing into the Rolling Hills. And that's when everything changes. ☣️ RYAN RELEASES THE GAS! A deadly green cloud spreads through Arcadia, killing the trees and destroying the lush vegetation around us. Atlas delivers some disturbing news. 🌳 ARCADIA IS RAPTURE'S OXYGEN CENTER! Without its plant life, the entire underwater city could be in serious trouble. We need to find a way to stop this. Our search leads us into the Research Laboratories, where we finally make contact with a scientist named Julie Langford. 🧪 MEET DR. LANGFORD! She might have the answers we're looking for, but before she'll allow us any farther into her laboratory, she needs something from us. 🌹 A FLOWER SAMPLE! So it's back through Arcadia to track down the sample, fighting our way through the area and dealing with another familiar threat along the way. 💥 Another Rosie! 🔫 Another Big Daddy Battle! 👧 Another Little Sister Freed! 🌹 Flower Sample Acquired! With the sample secured, we return to Langford. And unlike Peach Wilkins, she's not interested in making us jump through a dozen more hoops. She lets us in. But before we can reach her... ☣️ RYAN STRIKES AGAIN! The laboratory fills with deadly gas, trapping Langford inside. We can only watch as the scientist struggles against the poison. In her final moments, she manages to leave us something important. 🔢 A SAFE COMBINATION WRITTEN ON THE WINDOW! Even as she's dying, Langford is trying to help us finish what she started.
