Vintage Shoofly Pie - An Old-Fashioned Molasses Pie

A true old-fashioned classic! This vintage Shoofly Pie features a rich molasses filling topped with a buttery brown sugar crumble, baked into a flaky pie crust. Ingredients: Disc of dough (see pie dough 101 video) 3/4 cup dark molasses 3/4 cup boiling water 1/2 teaspoon baking soda Crumble 1 1/2 Cup All purpose flour 1 1/2 cups light brown sugar 1/8 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg (scant) 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1/4 cup unsalted cubed cold butter (you can use up to 1/3 cup)
