Sacriston Youth Projects & Redhills - We Are Still Here (2025)

'We Are Still Here', 2025, is a powerful spoken word poem and short film created by young people from the Sacriston Youth Project in collaboration with poet Emily Wiseman, which was featured at the Durham Miners Gala and Durham Cathedral service. Commissioned by Redhills and the Durham Miners' Association, the project invited local youth to reflect on Sacriston's rich coal-mining heritage, their ancestry, and the modern challenges facing their community.
