He built his reputation on witty, fast-flowing wordplay and self-released mixtapes on his own Dcypha Productions label, and in 2007 became the only UK artist signed to Akon's Konvict Muzik. Still Speedin' was released on 4 December 2011 through 3 Beat / All Around The World as the lead single for Sway's planned third album The Deliverance, though it did not make the final tracklist. Championed by BBC Radio 1's Zane Lowe as his Record of the Week, it peaked at number 19 on the UK Singles Chart — the highest-charting single of Sway's career at that point — and reached number 7 on the UK Hip Hop/R&B chart. The track is built on a sample of Black Box's 1989 UK number one Ride on Time, which itself famously lifted the vocals of Loleatta Holloway's 1980 disco anthem Love Sensation. Two alternate versions were released featuring British MC Kano and US rapper Lupe Fiasco.
