UP 6187 Z-Train Intermodal with Mid-DPUs South - E. Morada Lane Railroad Crossing, Stockton CA

(Filmed February 27, 2026) After not railfanning since returning from Vegas, I went out to Morada this day where I got a handful of catches. The first of those was the southbound Lathrop Z-train. This was the first of three trains that I got in a thirty-minute time period. In addition, the train blew its horn in the quiet zone. This crossing owned by Union Pacific is a mixed install with the shoulder and gateless signals being a UP late 2000s signal install with some light and gate changes. The median signals are both UP early to mid 2010s signal installs with changes to their gates and gate lights.
