Hello, my dear friends!❤️❤️ Welcome back to another day of my life aboard a cargo ship in the beautiful Mekong Delta of Vietnam! First of all, I wish you and your loved ones good health, peace, and happiness wherever you are watching from. While waiting for our next shipment of mangrove wood, my husband and I continued repainting a few areas of our cargo ship. We can't repaint the entire ship at once, so we try to take care of it little by little whenever we have some free time. During the day, something interesting happened. A small wooden boat came along the river, carrying different kinds of wooden furniture. The seller was a man who lived alone and traveled by himself through the rivers and canals of Ca Mau. His furniture wasn't expensive or luxurious. It was made from ordinary wood by local carpenters. He bought these items, loaded them onto his little boat, and traveled from place to place, hoping to find customers along the waterways. When I saw him passing by, I waved for him to stop. I decided to support his small business by buying a wooden hammock stand made from sao wood for about $20. He kindly assembled it for me right there on my ship. The design was quite simple, but it looked practical and sturdy. After finishing his work, he got back into his little boat and continued traveling alone through the canals, looking for his next customer. Watching him leave reminded me that there are so many different ways people earn a living on the rivers of Vietnam. Some transport cargo, some sell food, and others carry everyday household items from one place to another. Each person has their own journey and their own responsibilities. Later, I returned to my little kitchen and prepared some egg fried rice using leftover rice from the previous day. I didn't have many ingredients available, so it was a very simple dish. But the fried rice turned out delicious, and I enjoyed my homemade meal aboard the ship. When the tide rose high enough, I started the engine and moved my cargo ship into a small creek to continue waiting. Our customer had just informed us that we would need to wait another day before the mangrove wood would be ready for loading. Waiting for cargo is a familiar part of our work. Sometimes we have to be patient for many days, but we try to make good use of that time by maintaining our ship, cooking, and enjoying the little things around us. That evening, I finally hung up my hammock on the new wooden stand and tried it out for the first time. It seemed quite sturdy, and I was happy with my little purchase. It wasn't an extraordinary day, but it was another meaningful day of our simple life on the river. Thank you so much, my dear friends, for always caring about our journeys and spending your precious time with us. Your kindness, encouragement, and companionship mean more to me than I can express in words. I hope this little video brings you a moment of peace and gives you another glimpse into everyday life along the rivers of southern Vietnam. Wishing you and your families good health, happiness, and peaceful days ahead. Take good care of yourselves, and I'll see you again in my next video! With love and heartfelt gratitude from Vietnam, Diễm An❤️❤️ #TheGirlAndTheRiverShip #CargoShipLife #MekongDelta #RiverLife #Vietnam
