මාපලාන ඇල්ල රත්නපුර දිස්ත්‍රික්කයේ උසින් වැඩිම දිය ඇල්ල/ mapalana falls

ලංකාවේ උසින් හතරවන ස්ථානය දරන සහ රත්නපුර දිස්ත්‍රික්කයේ උසින් වැඩිම දිය ඇල්ල වූ මාපලාන ඇල්ල තට්ටු තුනකට ඇද හැළෙන අපූරු සුන්දර ඇල්ලකි. පලාබද්දල සිරිපා මාර්ගයට නුදුරින් පිහිටා ඇති මෙම දිය ඇල්ලට දියවර සපයන්නේ සිරිපා අඩවියේ ඇති බෑන සමනල කන්දයි, බෑන සමනල කන්දෙන් ආරම්භව හීන් ඔය නිර්මාණය කරමින්,ලිහිණි හෙලද පසුකර පසුව නිර්මාණය වන ඇල්ලේ ඔය, මාපලාන ඇල්ල ලෙස ඇද හැලේ. මාපලාන ඇල්ලෙන පසුව ලබුවාව ඔයද නිර්මාණය කරමින් රත් ගගට එකතු වේ. රත් ගග කළු ගගත් කළු ගග අවසානයේ කළුතරින් මහ මුහුදත් සිපගනී. Mapalana Falls, which ranks as the fourth tallest waterfall in Sri Lanka and the tallest in the Ratnapura District, is a marvelously beautiful waterfall that cascades down in three tiers. Located right along the Palabaddala Sri Pada (Adam's Peak) route, this waterfall is fed by the Bana Samanala Mountain in the Sri Pada sanctuary. Starting from Bana Samanala Mountain, the waters form the Heen Oya, pass Lihini Hela, and later become the Elle Oya, which plunges down as Mapalana Falls. It then forms the Labuwava Oya, merges into the Rath Ganga, flows into the Kalu Ganga, and finally empties into the ocean at Kalutara.
