Variations on a Theme in D Flat Major - Original Composition by Gideon Scheeler

Hi everyone! This is a piece that started out as a final project in my first college freshman theory class back in 2022. The assignment was to write a "Theme and Variations" with one theme and 2 variations, implementing the theory material we had learned over the course of the semester. However, there was a catch. 1 variation had to be major, and 1 had to be minor. So, I came up with this theme, wrote the first 2 variations, and sent it in (I got an A). That wasn't the end of this piece though, as I really liked the idea of writing variations that altered back and forth between major and minor, so throughout the course of the next semester I continued working on this piece, until it eventually became what it is today! Also I'm aware that this piece is maybe a bit unreasonably difficult, so don't be surprised if I post a revised version of it sometime in the future lol Hope you enjoy!
