DID YOU KNOW that we've got the oldest operating meadery in Virginia right here in Frederick County? We'd love to introduce you now to meadmeister Richard Copeland at Misty Mountain Meadworks. This is truly one of our unique hidden gems that you've just got to experience first-hand. The nordic-themed tasting room is home to a variety of personally crafted meads, not to mention an incredibly welcoming team who will tell you all about each one. They are located a beautiful and relaxing 15 minute drive north of Winchester (we recommend heading up Apple Pie Ridge Rd for beautiful countryside and valley views), just a stone's throw from Briedé Family Vineyards. If you head up on a Friday or Sunday, make sure to stop by Geraghty’s Micro Farm along the way!
