Episode 6. Paddling Sutton Cheney, Nuneaton.

Welcome to episode 6 where we paddle / kayak along the Ashby-De-La-Zouch canal from Sutton Wharf to Congerstone and back. This is definitely a great place for beginners to launch from as both, getting here, and launching from here, are very easy. We're based at junction 10 on the M6 so from here it's just a 50 minute drive without any difficult roads or obstacles to navigate. A very easy drive. WhatThreeWords link: ///dares.scenes.bounding As soon as you arrive here it's obvious that this would be a great place to bring the kids as well. The ducks and Swans are so used to people and the onsite cafe sells duck feed so the kids can interact with nature. As far as facilities, there is a very nice cafe with toilets around back. The cafe is fantastic quality and the toilets are always very clean. Getting into and out of the water is very easy here as well due to the mooring area. No mud or anything to contend with. Once you've been out on the water, there is Bosworth Battlefield right next door for an educational walk. Sutton Cheney is one of our most visited places to paddle due to its easy access and great facilities. An all round brilliant place to come, especially for beginners.
