Apollo In Ascension: a Michael Orrom documentary from 1967

In 1966, Cable & Wireless commissioned British documentary film maker Michael Orrom to make a film about the construction of an earth station on Ascension Island. The earth station was designed to be part of Nasa's historic Apollo moon-shot project, allowing Nasa to communicate with the Apollo spacecraft. Narrated by actor Julian Glover, shot by David Muir, and edited by R. Q. McNaughton, 'Apollo In Ascension' was premiered in Hong Kong in 28th March, 1967. The documentary film presented here is a digitalised version of a 16mm copy held in the Cable & Wireless Archive at the Telegraph Museum, in Porthcurno.
