I wanted to experiment with the harmonic series adjusted to 17edo and also combine those approximations with a "pantonal" perspective. My idea was that, because the odd harmonics always produce new notes (if we only consider octave equivalence), then a serialist approach could work quite logically with some adjustments or luck. In this example I used E as the fundamental, and the harmonics that follow it (with some small changes) are: B, G#, D, F#, Bb, Db, D#, F, G, A, A#, C, C#, Eb. I added the missing Gb and Ab at the top, they also approximate other odd harmonics. In 12edo an example could be: C, G, E, Bb, D, F#, A, B, C#, Eb, F and the missing G#. In my opinion 17edo doesn't do a bad job at translating the sonority of the harmonic series. Bigger edos might have too many notes for this serialist perspective because they would create unintelligibly dense clusters at the top range. 19edo and 22 edo could be better options for this idea though, let me know if you experiment with those.
