Welder modification to increase amps for a Magneto Recharger

Reducing the coils on the primary winding increases the voltage output from the secondary windings. Higher voltage allows higher amps to flow with a given resistance (Ohms law V=IR) I required more amps on my Magneto recharger. Due to the high resistance in my lengthy recharger windings, this mod was required. P.S. The welder was an old one I picked up for $20 so I didn't mind dedicating it for this use.
