Summer Steam & Diesel Trains on the Severn Valley Railway | Heritage Action at Highley

Join me at Highley on the Severn Valley Railway for a day of steam and diesel action! Filmed during a visit to The Engine House for Brick Weekend, on Sunday 2nd August 2026 , I made the most of being at Highley by capturing some of the locomotives running along the Severn Valley Railway. However, the day didn't quite go to plan, as a lineside fire just outside Bewdley caused significant disruption to services, resulting in around a two-hour delay to afternoon trains. Despite the disruption, there was still plenty to see, with the video featuring: 🚂 GWR Pannier Tank 7714 🚂 LMS Mogul 13268 🚆 Class 20 20048 🚆 Class 50 50049 "Defiance" With the prolonged dry weather experienced across the UK this summer, steam operations on the Severn Valley Railway have also been suspended as a precaution against the risk of lineside fires.
