Welcome to Tutorial 26 of our complete CATIA Training Course Exercises! You can't build mechanical assemblies without fasteners! Today, we are focusing on standard hardware design by modeling a classic M10 Hexagonal Bolt. This is a fundamental skill for every junior engineer and a requirement for most university student projects. 💡 The CAD Strategy in this video: We are keeping it clean and efficient. You will learn how to use the dedicated Hexagon profile tool inside the 2D Sketcher to quickly generate the bolt head without manually drawing 6 intersecting lines. After that, we use the Pad command to give it thickness and extrude the 10mm cylindrical shaft. CATIA commands used in this exercise: • Hexagon Tool (inside the Sketcher, for perfect polygon geometry) • Pad (to extrude the hexagonal head and the M10 shaft) 👇 Question for the community: When you build a large 3D assembly, do you model your own bolts like we did today, or do you download standard fasteners from online libraries like TraceParts or McMaster-Carr? Let's talk about CAD efficiency below! 🎯 HELP THE CHANNEL GROW!
