Colombia or Spain for retirement?
They both offer great food, good health care, and a much lower cost of living than many parts of the U.S. but once you compare the actual numbers, the differences get pretty big.
In this video, I put Colombia and Spain head to head across six rounds: retirement visas, monthly cost of living, health care, taxes, daily life, and the path to permanent residency and citizenship.
For a comfortable single retiree, Bogotá comes in at about $1,800 a month including private health insurance, while Valencia lands around $2,760 before prescriptions and Spanish income taxes. 632b0701a9524ec99169285bd4edea8…
But Spain has some major advantages too especially public health care, a more stable currency, and easy access to the rest of Europe.
So which one makes more sense for an American retiree?
