For the first time, I tried karela (bitter gourd) sabzi at a hotel, along with roti, dal, salad and chutney. We enjoyed the food, talked about the taste and finally checked the bill to find out the lunch price in Pakistan. One plate of karela sabzi was Rs. 250, and with Chaman Bhai’s help, we also got a small discount.
