Live a fasted life. Of all the things God could have asked us to set aside when we seek Him, why food? God is not against food; He gave it to us to enjoy with thanksgiving. Fasting is mainly about training. Everything you need is already in your spirit, and God uses natural situations, like your appetite, to draw it out. If you cannot rule your belly, you cannot rule your spirit, and life becomes like a city broken down, without walls. Esau traded his birthright for a bowl of stew; Jesus, hungry in the wilderness, answered with the Word. So fasting once in a while is not enough. Live a fasted life: train your body, and your spirit will follow; fill your spirit with the Word, and your body will obey. Chapters 0:00 Why food? 0:37 1. God Is Not Against Food 1:10 2.
