Help Pip grow his little garden, one flower at a time! A gentle illustrated story for preschoolers ages 3–5, with warm narration, soft music and two pauses to count. CHILD LEARNING OPPORTUNITY See addition as adding an object to a group, then count every object to find the new total. Pip models two flowers becoming three, then invites children to try one becoming two and three becoming four. No written arithmetic or reading is required. FOR PARENTS A short starting point for playful math while sorting laundry. Begin together when possible; children can watch and count without materials. The follow-up game needs an adult to introduce it and remain nearby. This content is not childcare. TRY IT AWAY FROM THE SCREEN 1. Gather three socks with your child. 2. Put two in a row; touch each sock and count. 3. Add one sock. Count every sock again and ask how many there are now. 4. Let your child reset the row and try again. If needed, start with one sock and add one. Keep it brief and playful; offer help without scoring answers. Choose screen-free play for the final hour before bedtime. RESEARCH BASIS AND LIMITS Head Start’s preschool math framework includes adding small groups with adult support at 36–48 months and representing addition with objects at 48–60 months. These are teaching indicators, not deadlines or a test for an individual child. https://headstart.gov/school-readines... The IES guide for ages 3–6 rates broader number-and-operations instruction as supported by moderate evidence. It recommends concrete objects and developmental progressions; its underlying studies measured math skills. That evidence is not a test of this video or proof that a single viewing produces learning gains. https://ies.ed.gov/ncee/wwc/practiceg... Family activity guidance: https://ies.ed.gov/use-work/resource-... Original Pip illustrations and animation, original gentle music, and AI-generated Jessica stock narration. No neuroscience, IQ or sleep benefit is claimed. Each child develops at their own pace. Small Moments, Growing Minds — watch, then play. #PreschoolMath #CountingForKids #PipTheSnail
