Autumn at White Memorial

I took a walk around the White Memorial Foundation in Litchfield, Connecticut to take advantage of the autumn foliage. There are several small ponds and miles of hiking trails to explore. One big advantage, is the varying grades of these trails. If you are limited in your hiking capabilities, there are many perfectly flat trails, that make walking for seniors quite easy, while there are also more challenging trails in more hilly terrain. There is no admission, and the trails are always open, so you can visit any time it is convenient for you. The Bantam River flows though the area, offering excellent canoeing and kayaking. The fishing is also very good. Bass may be caught, as well as some large pike. All in all, White Memorial offers a wide variety of outdoor activities for the entire family throughout the year.
