An enjoyable 45 minutes worth of East Coast Mainline diversions at Crews Hill station situated on the Hertford Loop Line during the afternoon of the 30th November 2014. We also include an extra video at the end of a class 91 225 set heading north taken the following week after this (7th December 2014). This is the furthest north station on the Hertford Loop within Greater London/Middlesex, with the M25, London's Orbital Motorway being the boundary with Hertfordshire half a mile to the north of the station and is roughly 11½ miles to the north of London Kings Cross. It is situated in Zone 6 of the London Fare zones and at the time I filmed this, it was the furthest north station on the Hertford Loop you could use Oyster and Contactless Payment cards, until early 2019 when the zones extended out to Hertford North. Just like all my other uploads of ECML action, this was filmed in the days when the main ECML operator was East Coast and when the 91s & HSTs dominated the intercity services from London to the North East. This was also the early days of Great Northern under the current Govia Thameslink Railway franchise when the local suburban services from Moorgate and on the Hertford Loop were 313s. We also include a few tones from drivers in this too! Trains included in the video: Class 43 HST & Mk 3 Intercity 125 sets Class 91 & Mk 4 Intercity 225 sets Class 180 Adelante DMUs Class 313 EMUs Class 365 Networker Express EMUs Train operating companies featured: East Coast (Now LNER) Grand Central Great Northern (Part of Govia Thameslink Railway) Hull Trains Enjoy!
